Hack your clothesline

Here’s a clever hack for hanging items out to dry where clipping them directly to the line would be detrimental, whether it be linen cuffs or other smalls.

Take a strip of muslin, hem it and sew buttons on one side, on which to button collars and cuffs when you hang them out to dry. If you prefer they can be buttoned on before you out out into the cold, and then the strip can be just pinned on the line, and you will have no cuffs soiled by being blown to the ground, nor torn by being stripped from the line.

I think this can adapted for hanging out other delicates where merely using a clothes pin on the line would be less preferable.
