Tightening Loose Handles

I picked this ladle and chan (think food shovel) out of a thriftstore .99 tub, their handles were loose as anything but it saves me from having to buy new ones in the Asian market.

I have become attached to using Gorilla Glue to repair unglued handles. Unlike PVA and other acrylic glues which shrink when they dry, urethane adhesives expand and fill up all the voids creating a tighter bond.

After the urethane has fully dried and expanded, you just trim off the excess with a knife, just like spray foam insulation.  It can also be sanded and painted.
